19:06

today so far has been a loooong day. I took a morning bath around 6:30 am so I could eat on my own pace before going to the hospital. the hotel was "overbooked" hence I wasn't able to pay for doing a late check-out. this meant that I had to check-out up to 13:00

I arrived at the hospital around 09:30 and at eleven I was already shitting myself thinking about all my stuff that was on the hotel and I was sure I wouldn't be able to get to check-out on time

for my surprise the consultation went well, aparently this was one of the greatest ECHO(es?) my doctor has seem (his words) and, since he has been following my case since I was around ~8 yo (I am 24 as writing this), it means a lot to me

so after leaving the hospital with the good news I had to wrap my things up to leave the hotel. I didn't wanted to bother my friends who live here (and also wasn't really wanting to interact with human beings, sorry if you folks ever end up reading this) so I came to the shopping where I'll pick up my bus to home city (at 21:30 only!)

I had lunch, coffee, went to the cinema in order to watch the first movie I could find in the hope of taking a small nap, but wasn't expecting to by sitting on the last row I'd be close to teenagers making up. can't be hypocrite here since I already did this before, but nowadays it looks cringier than ever. at the end, the movie was pretty bad and I couldn't rest much, but I feel a bit better after being in a darker room for some time

also had lots of moments I wanted to pick up my notebook and put some thoughts here but I felt that was lacking the energy to do so. now that I could stop at a Starbucks and get a capuccino I decided to stream some thoughts from this day. oh! I also bought Dracula's book, after hearding about it and watching the netflix show and 92's movie with my partner I got curious about it, but I was so tired to read much, guess I stopped at around chapter 3

today I also shared some thoughts of the game I've been wanting to make right now, which I both miss doing and at the same time want to avoid because I always end up giving up on this kind of endeavors… but I really want to create some kind of small online worlds, I can even attempt to put some thoughts on notes here, hmmm…

rpg game

I wanted to revive the feeling I had playing Ragnarok Online, by doing some kind of RPG game focused on the social aspect, an open world where people can just hang out to talk, improve their characters in a more casual fashion that can comport both younger people and people busy with full-time jobs, so the first big decision I took is that it should be web native and supporting touch controls for mobile users by default, which is pretty complex for me since the zero-th big decision was to do everything without an off the shelf game engine (but I really believe that at the end this makes me more productive rather than the opposite)

some "strategies" and thoughts I gathered so far to attempt to make these open world aspects that people enjoy (such as in BOTW where you can see some interesting place at a distance and go there) is to make NPCs self reference places they come from or enjoy that are part of the game's map, so this will be a must for me. this already brings some weight on its own, since the base map can't be too small (so someone saying that some interesting thing is at south doesn't mean literally move 10sqm down and reach the place) and people need incentives to interact with the NPCs, since it won't be a quest based game.

this also brings one more "problem" (or questions, at least) regarding game design:

but the good part is that players would be able to "listen to" (read) conversations between other players and NPCs and do their sherlock holmes magic & curiosity to go look for stuff, rather than locking each player having to "start a quest" individually each time doing the same order of things again and again…

well let me check if I can connect to this starbuck's wi-fi and publish what I've wrote so far, it's already 19:25 which means I basically wrote stuff for almost 20 minutes non-stop. my cappuccino will get cold
